This is my first blog, and I'm not sure exactly what shape it will take.
The purpose is to document and share my experiences during a challenging and exciting year working abroad. I'd like to be able to do so as candidly and uncensored as possible for the benefit and amusement of my family and friends.
My job is entirely supporting my existence here, however, so I do need to mindful of the fact that the line between my personal life and professional life can be blurry. I therefore wanted to add a small element of anonymity to my posts to help reduce direct association with me or my job, at least by anyone who might find the posts less than amusing or appropriate.
I've therefore decided to use aliases for myself (I'll now be known as "Bethany"), and just about everyone else who crosses my path. Because the smudge tool is oh-so-fun, I'll also blur faces on most of the pics I post.
